Your privacy matters. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over your data when you use Propzion (“we”, “our”, “the Platform”). It applies to all users — buyers, renters, agents, brokers, developers, lawyers, lenders, and partners.

1. Information we collect

Account data: name, email, phone, country, role, identity verification documents.
Property data: listings you create, photos, addresses, prices, ownership documents.
Transactional data: deals, escrow records, commissions, invoices, payment metadata.
Communications: messages, leads, support tickets, signed documents.
Device & usage: IP address, browser, device type, pages visited, search queries.
Location: approximate location for nearby listings; precise GPS only with consent.

2. How we use information

To provide and improve the Platform (listings, search, CRM, transactions, payouts).
To verify identity, prevent fraud, and comply with KYC / AML laws.
To match buyers with sellers and agents with leads.
To send transactional and account-related notifications.
To produce aggregated, anonymous market analytics.
To meet legal and regulatory obligations across the 54 African jurisdictions we serve.

3. Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with: (i) service providers we contractually bind to confidentiality (cloud, payment processors, identity verification), (ii) counterparties to a transaction you initiate (e.g., the agent of a property you enquire about), and (iii) regulators or law enforcement when legally required.

4. Security

We apply industry-standard safeguards: encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, role-based access controls, audit logging, intrusion detection, and routine security testing. We follow ISO 27001 and SOC 2 guidance even where not legally mandated.

5. Cookies & similar technologies

Propzion uses essential cookies for authentication and analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can opt out of non-essential cookies via your browser. Disabling essential cookies will break login and listing features.

6. Your rights

Access: request a copy of your data.
Correction: fix inaccurate or outdated data.
Deletion: request erasure subject to legal hold periods.
Portability: export your data in machine-readable format.
Withdrawal of consent: at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

7. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active and for up to 7 years after closure to satisfy financial, tax and regulatory obligations. You may request earlier deletion of non-mandatory data.

8. International transfers

Propzion operates infrastructure across multiple African and EU regions. Cross-border transfers occur under standard contractual clauses and legitimate interest assessments that respect local data protection law (NDPR, POPIA, Kenya DPA, GDPR-equivalent frameworks).

9. Children

Propzion is for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our product changes or to meet legal requirements. We will notify users by email and in-app banner for material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
